Having your own personal blog is honestly quite a nice change of pace compared to Reddit. I could put a funny GIF of George Bush getting hit by a shoe on here and the worse case scenario is that no one even notices.
You put that on a big subreddit and you get your eyes gouged out and a heap of political discourse underneath your post.

I feel like that acoustic set was the essence of TS and also of being a swiftie. Talking about kindness and asking for it - trusting us like we’re all truly friends, breaking our hearts in a zillion pieces while simultaneously making us scream our heads off, then sitting quietly and playing a hopeful dreamy song about letting go of our past damage. And she planned it all that way, it was by design. So much to think.
It’s an insanely fascinating (read: bonkers batshit bananas) to put together a song documenting her first (if not very early) significant brush with a love and a relationship that tore apart the fairytale foundations of what she thought romance would be like and that undoubtedly defined an incredibly sensitive, fragile time in a young girl’s life when she’s navigating ‘adult’ relationships for the first time and created a ripple effect on what she thinks love should look like and pair it with a song about letting go of the traumas and things that have hurt you in order to recenter and refocus and choose to want to be defined by “the things that [you] love” and not the things you’re afraid of.
remember on the rep tour when someone asked taylor to play dear john for the surprise song and she said she wouldn’t because it was still such a sensitive song for her and now here she is……………….these re-recordings have brought some new kind of healing power i am convinced
